Today we celebrated Palm Sunday. The UMW had their cookie walk today. Our adorable children brought in the palm leaves, the music was beautiful, and the sermon helped us see that we can’t take a shortcut from the joy of Palm Sunday to the joy of the resurrection. We need to experience the suffering of the trial and the cross. Pastor Greg shared that he will stay with us another year. I am very grateful that he will be with us. Join us for Holy Week services this week, as we prepare for Easter. Services start at 12, with lunch at 12:30. This is a time of community fellowship where all are welcome. If you are unable to join us at the church, tune in to our Facebook Page where each service will be streamed at noon. We hope that you will join us for a time of preparation of our hearts for Easter.

This week’s Christmas Dilemma was that of the Innkeeper’s belief. The Innkeeper had a day full of frustration, aggravation, stress, struggle and worry as he tried to care of all the folks filling his inn. We can only imagine how tired he was to hear one more knock at his door that first Christmas Eve. But then, he is nudged to notice what he had not seen and he experiences the holy and everything changes. Has our Christmas season been so full of the same things that we have missed the holy as well? The holy is there and this is your nudge to notice. Look for the holy and may it strengthen our belief!

What we discovered is that often it is not about our plans but instead it is about God's purpose. When Jesus touches our life everything changes and our plans are not big enough for God's purpose.
